To Ph. D or Not to Ph. D

Produced at the Little Theatre at the University of California, Irvine. If we think that Hitler was a monster then why do we find Hitler jokes hilarious? Is it because we use humor as a tool to cope with complex ideas? We hope to become a more well adjusted and equitable society, but we must first reconcile with what we find humorous. We must activate our awareness of how we joke, what kind of jokes we tell, and awaken ourselves to the deeply rooted, unconscious (and conscious) biases our humors foretell.
